Natia Turnava: Report by US Department of State fairly, positively assesses reforms carried out by Georgian government in recent years
According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Natia Turnava, the report published by the US Department of State on the investment climate in Georgia is completely objective.
“The report makes very positive assessments on Georgia, which is completely objective – our team has done a lot in recent years to be a regional leader in terms of ease of doing business, business freedom and transparent environment. Furthermore, we are the world leader in terms of ease of business registration”- said the Minister of Economy.
At the same time, according to Natia Turnava, the new report of the US Department fairly, very positively assesses the reforms carried out by the Georgian government in recent years, not only in the field of the economy but also in other areas, including reforms in the justice system and elections.
“We are very pleased that our strategic partner so objectively and positively evaluates the efforts we take to make the investment environment in Georgia even more attractive, which strengthens us especially now when there is a global pandemic. At the same time, we are trying our best to increase investments” – Minister added.
The US Department of State publishes report on the investment climate in 170 countries, including Georgia. The report says that overall, business and investment conditions are sound in Georgia.
