Mzia Amaglobeli transferred from Vivamedi Clinic to penitentiary facility, lawyers confirm
Mzia Amaglobeli, the founder of Batumelebi and Netgazeti media outlets, has been transferred from the Vivamedi clinic to a penitentiary institution, as her lawyers confirmed to the GPB First Channel.
Amaglobeli was hospitalized from prison at the Vivamedi clinic on February 4 for medical evaluation and remained there until recently. On February 18, she announced in a letter that she had decided to end her 38-day hunger strike.
Mzia Amaglobeli, who was detained on charges of assaulting a police officer, was sentenced to pre-trial detention by the Batumi City Court on January 14.
