Municipal Development Fund launches reconstruction of Rustavi Central Park

The Municipal Development Fund of the Georgian Infrastructure Ministry has launched the reconstruction of the Rustavi historical recreation central park.

The Fund signed a contract with the company, which won the tender. The project will be implemented in three stages, while the third envisages copyright supervision during the construction process.

The project comprises the arrangement of children’s and sports zones, a basketball court, a renovated skatepark, lakeside infrastructure and recreational spaces, reconstruction of amphitheater, pavements, bycycle lanes, bridges acros the lake, pavilions, open stages.

Special attention is paid to the integration of the Rustavi fortress with the recreational zone and the presentation of the archaeological space. In addition, the preservation and presentation of its unique historical and cultural identity should be taken into account when renovating Rustavi’s central park.

Within the project, security, lighting, irrigation and drainage systems will be reconstructed and the use of renewed energy, ecomaterials and greening of the territory.
