Municipal Development Fund launches new tender for Velistsikhe rehabilitation

The Municipal Development Fund has decided to terminate the contract with the contractor companies responsible for the rehabilitation project of the central part of the village of Velistsikhe—a joint venture of LLC Insi and LLC Javi.

“The reason for the decision was the failure of the companies to fulfill their obligations, despite numerous warnings,” the Ministry of Infrastructure stated.

The project, implemented with the financial support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), began in the first quarter of 2022.

“The process of terminating the contract will be carried out in full compliance with the rules and regulations of the donor organization.

In parallel, the international supervisory company EPTISA will begin a detailed assessment and inventory of the works completed on site. This is necessary to accurately determine the scope of completed work and to compile a list of remaining tasks, which will form the basis for a new tender.

The Fund emphasizes that each stage of the process—contract termination and preparation of a new tender—is being carried out in close coordination with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and with its direct involvement,” the Ministry of Infrastructure added.
