The parliamentary Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee held a sitting in the Ergneti village adjacent to the occupied Tskhinvali region on February 26.
The sitting that was symbolically held in Ergneti on the occasion of the Soviet occupation day focused on the ongoing social, cultural, and educational projects in the villages bordering the occupation line, MP Sozar Subari said.
Committee members visited the August 2008 War Museum in Ergneti before the meeting. “One hundred years later, the occupation continues.
The day will come when Georgia’s territorial integrity will restore,” Subari added.
The meeting took place amid ongoing military drills in the occupied territories.
