MP Zviad Shalamberidze: Opposition’s promises will end up as empty words, just as they always have

“Presumably, their foreign transfers and call-centre funds have run dry, and they have suddenly remembered the Georgian public. Anyone is entitled to donate, and a party can receive declared contributions. There is nothing strange in that. What is telling, however, is that they only remember the public when they hit rock bottom,” stated MP Zviad Shalamberidze, a member of Georgian Dream.

According to Shalamberidze, the opposition has now turned to citizens for financial backing while announcing plans to launch regional visits starting from August 1.

“For months now, we have heard that they intend to go out into the regions, yet that process has still not begun. Their promises will continue just as they have done until now, ending up as empty words without any action behind them,” Shalamberidze noted.
