MP Tabatadze: Borashvili presented professional vision for State Security Service
Today’s report to the Parliament’s Defense and Security Committee was presented from a more professional perspective, and it was evident from his address that he is a professional who has worked at the agency for years, Parliament’s Defense and Security Committee Chair Alexander Tabatadze said.
According to Tabatadze, Tamaz Borashvili presented his future vision in various areas in a substantive manner.
“In principle, it can be said that he has worked at this agency for years and knows almost all of its challenges. He has thought about these issues and has his own vision,” Tabatadze said.
He added that it would be good and welcome if Borashvili were to fully implement the objectives he has set for himself over the coming years.
“I have great hope that he will duly fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him. It would be good and welcome if he fully accomplishes the objectives he has set over the years. This is, of course, important for the development of the Service and for the strategies they have planned. I wish him success in carrying out these responsibilities within his term of office.
“I always say that changes are not good for the system, but it depends on individuals. We cannot interfere in people’s personal lives if this is what they have decided. The main thing is that the current government and our team have the capabilities and qualified personnel through whom rotation can always take place. We will always replace personnel with the expectation that this or that area will become even stronger. We certainly have the resources to do so,” Tabatadze said.
