MP Samadashvili says People's Power bill diverts country away from EU path

If the so-called Foreign Agents bill is adopted, Georgia will no longer have a chance to receive any status related to EU membership, said Lelo party member Salome Samadashvili.

Samadashvili called on society to mobilize for the protest.

“This means Moldova and Ukraine will begin the EU accession process, but Georgia will remain outside the process. By passing this law, independent media and non-governmental organizations will be unable to operate in the country. There will be no more resources available in the country to monitor the polls. This law means that no matter where you live, in the village or the city, you will no longer receive any assistance from the vast sums of money West has allotted for 30 years,” said MP Samadashvili.
