“Georgia continues to develop steadily, democratically, and strives for full EU membership,” MP Mamuka Mdinaradze wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday.
MP said the government does not intend to radicalize. “We are waiting for at least one compromise proposal at the negotiating table,” he noted.
“The opposition knew that OSCE/ODIHR would publish its very positive final report on Georgia’s 2020 parliamentary elections yesterday. They realize that they should take at least one compromise step any day now. But those who do not consider agreement take old records from the black archives, edit them, change the context, and try to annoy society with this fake reality as their previous attempts failed,” Mdinaradze stated.
TV Pirveli aired the story on Saturday about the conversation between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Head of Special State Protection Service of Georgia, Anzor Chubinidze, and Bera Ivanishvili.
The opposition parties demand the resignation of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili following the story. They believe the conversation contains signs of a serious organized crime.
