MP Matikashvili: Georgia is open and ready to resume dialogue with EU

“Georgia has not suspended dialogue with the European Union,” Georgian parliamentary majority member Davit Matikashvili said.

According to Matikashvili, Georgia remains open and ready to resume dialogue on the basis of partnership.

“You will remember the statement by the EU Ambassador and how the European bureaucracy made the decision to unilaterally suspend dialogue with Georgia. Our country is open and ready for dialogue to resume on the basis of partnership. Instead of relations between the big and the small, there should be equal and partner-based relations that properly recognize Georgia’s role and achievements on its path toward EU membership. Resuming dialogue would be a step forward,” Matikashvili said.
