MP Makhashvili: Our delegation is committed to businesslike approach to every issue at June 11 meeting
“On June 11, there will be an interesting inter-agency meeting. The European Commission will have the opportunity to exchange views on topics where certain EU member states may have questions,” stated MP Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the European Integration Committee of the Parliament.
Makhashvili was asked a question regarding the upcoming meeting in Brussels scheduled under the visa regulation framework.
“Recently, this issue has been excessively politicised and used as a tool for blackmail. We hope that this meeting and dialogue will help remove the matter from the political arena and return it to a working format. Our delegation is fully committed to taking a businesslike approach to every single issue that the European Commission might raise. We will present concrete facts and information before our European partners,” Levan Makhashvili said.
For context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the first meeting between the Georgian side and the European Commission under the visa regulation framework will take place in Brussels on June 11.
