All government decrees are fully transparent, the rules for direct privatization have been amended, and the Audit Service has been strengthened to better combat corruption, the parliamentary majority MP Levan Machavariani said.

According to him, the government has declared a relentless fight against corruption and will remain uncompromising in this direction.

“According to statements from the State Security Service, there are indications of a criminal offence, which is unfortunate. We must wait for the outcome of the investigation; however, citizens can clearly see today that all government decrees are fully transparent, the rules for direct privatization of property have been revised, and the Audit Service has been reinforced — one of its main functions being the prevention and elimination of corruption. All this demonstrates how determined and uncompromising our anti-corruption policy is. We will show zero tolerance toward corruption, regardless of whether the person involved is a close associate or a party member. Our goal is to be among the top three countries in the world with the lowest level of corruption. These measures ensure that any case will be addressed and no one will turn a blind eye. Anyone considering an unlawful act will now think twice before attempting to misappropriate funds,” Machavariani said.
