MP Levan Machavariani: No innovation in UNM messaging; recruiting quality members is difficult for foreign-agent party running in circles
“The messaging we are hearing from the United National Movement’s leadership offers nothing new whatsoever. They are simply going round in circles,” declared parliamentary majority member, MP Levan Machavariani.
He added that “attracting new members is difficult for an agent-driven party of this kind.”
“I am referring to figures who possess a solid reputation and hold some standing in this country. Such individuals do not wish to be affiliated with foreign-agent forces. What we are seeing in the United National Movement is noise and staged drama within their alliance. This outcry was orchestrated from abroad to create a public distraction, allowing foreign handlers to distance Lelo and Gakharia’s party from the collective United National Movement network of agents.
Their foreign patrons initiated this distancing process during the 2025 elections, when they left everyone else in a boycott and permitted only Lelo and Gakharia’s party to participate. They are doing this because they staked everything on the same configuration for 14 years, and that gamble failed to deliver. They aim to place a larger bet on Lelo and Gakharia’s party in 2028. However, just as they failed to fob Ahali off on the public as non-UNM, they will fail equally to fob off Lelo and Gakharia’s party. Misleading and deceiving our public is a very difficult task,” Levan Machavariani stated.
