MP Kadagishvili: UNM’s fundraising appeal is desperate act of party ruined by its own destructive policies

“What is happening within the opposition is entirely of their own and their superiors’ making; a consequence of turning their backs on the choice of the Georgian people and embarking on the path of a coup,” declared MP Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of Parliament’s Self-Government Committee.

According to Kadagishvili, the opposition has lost public trust alongside its institutional stability, while its internal political cohesion, already fragile and fragmented, has fractured beyond repair.

“The destruction they wrought against the country has now rebounded upon them internally. When the United National Movement appeals to its supporters for financial donations, it is the desperate attempt of a political organisation left hollowed out by its own harmful, destructive policies,” Kadagishvili stated.
