MP Kadagishvili: Legal preventive measures aim to protect Georgia from illegal migration and ensure migration policy
“Migration is a global challenge, particularly when it comes to illegal migration. Consequently, Georgia has implemented a series of legislative changes, with the latest package also introduced to address this area,” stated MP Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Regional Policy and Self-Government.
According to Kadagishvili, the legislative amendments aim to curb illegal migration, which poses a threat to both national security and public safety.
“We have seen what has been happening in America and Europe, where migration, and illegal migration in particular, has practically risen to the level of a national security crisis. We are taking lawful preventive measures that will protect the country from illegal migration, while establishing an orderly migration policy,” Irakli Kadagishvili said.
