MP Kadagishvili: Everything in UNM revolves around Saakashvili’s ego

“The United National Movement is, in its very essence, a sower of destruction. The destruction they sowed, and continue to sow today, has returned to haunt the party inside like a boomerang,” declared MP Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Self-Government.

According to Kadagishvili, the party is not merely fractured, but is also consumed by infighting among its leaders.

“Everything revolves around Saakashvili’s ego; no other form of democracy exists within the party. Saakashvili harbours constant paranoia that his grip on power within the United National Movement might be overshadowed, which is why he resorts to manipulation. From election to election, their voter base continues to shrink. Assessing Saakashvili is almost impossible, as his inflated ego has severely impaired his perception of reality. Anything that fails to demonstrate complete submissiveness is unacceptable to him. That is why he is trying to install a leader in the party who will be in total alignment with his ego,” Kadagishvili noted.
