“In many cases, we are witnessing a planned, funded, and co-ordinated policy aimed at fracturing society. A society that holds nothing sacred and recognises no authority will always be easy to subjugate and manipulate,” stated MP Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Self-Government Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.

According to him, this requires applying counter-policies.

“We are told that if you insult another person in any manner and a legal framework exists to address it, this somehow constitutes a restriction on free speech. In other words, they claim that obscenity, abuse, bullying, and statements that demean human dignity are the finest expressions of freedom. This is malicious intent. Anyone instilling such an ideology is acting maliciously. This cannot be allowed to gain traction. How will the law regulate this? A line must be drawn reasonably and delicately; however, the state must not permit this malice to be given a sanctioned form and become a path towards the degradation of public thought,” Kadagishvili declared.
