MP Irakli Cheishvili: Saakashvili and UNM aim to regain power and extort businesses, as they did for years

“First, Gvaramia claimed Georgia would miss out on trillions because it wasn’t involved in the war. Now, they still can’t break the habit of begging for donations and extorting businesses; it remains fixed in their minds, just as they did for years,” declared parliamentary majority member, MP Irakli Cheishvili.

According to Cheishvili, their sole interest if they return to power is to make as much money as possible.

“We need not even mention the fortunes Kezerashvili looted from Georgia. It seems their funds are running dry. In fact, it’s not even that they’re short on cash; they are taking it all to line their own pockets and fund their lavish lifestyles. People already regret every penny they donated to Saakashvili and the United National Movement, yet today they make these appeals for their personal gain, not for the party’s development.

Their objective is to return to power and run protection rackets on businesses to secure their financial strength. Saakashvili sits in his cell begging for donations. We know full well who those funds will serve—they will go straight into their own pockets,” Irakli Cheishvili stated.
