MP Guram Macharashvili: UNM are fighting over ambitions; yet EU Ambassador tells us these very people are ‘pro-Western’

“The ongoing processes within the United National Movement lay bare their utter deceitfulness,” stated People’s Power MP Guram Macharashvili.

According to Macharashvili, members of the party are squabbling over mere rhetoric and non-existent power.

“Bokuchava only sees ‘illegitimacy’ now, but was it legitimate when Saakashvili appeared to the National Movement chairman out of nowhere, demanded his resignation, and had him replaced? Let her try explaining that to her own voters. I couldn’t care less whether the party chairman is a baker of lobiani or Bokuchava playing the saint. Was it truly legitimate when an imprisoned foreign citizen ordered the chairman to step down, and he obliged? They are just squabbling over their own ambitions; yet the EU Ambassador has the nerve to tell us that these are pro-Western parties who will form a coalition government if elected,” said Macharashvili.
