MP Guram Macharashvili: Every time UNM agents demand early elections for Georgia, they end up holding them in their own party

“Every time the ‘UNM foreign network’ demanded snap elections for the country, they ended up having to hold snap elections within their own party,” stated MP Guram Macharashvili, Executive Secretary of the People’s Power party.

According to Macharashvili, a full year never passes without them either ousting their chairman or the chairman resigning of their own accord.

“The latest chairman was visited by the apparition of Saakashvili, who ousted Bokuchava from her post. Bokuchava calls the Political Council meeting illegitimate, which is typical of the United National Movement and its leaders: infighting and conflict. The European Union and the EU Ambassador used to tell us that this so-called party stood for pro-Western values. Yet they cannot even elect their own leader without tearing each other apart. These are the people telling us they will form a coalition government. Even a schoolchild can see that one should not go anywhere near such a so-called party. Hopefully, the Constitutional Court will rule to ban this party as anti-state. Once again, it is clear how misleading the EU Ambassador’s propaganda was, painting this UNM client network, which cannot even elect its own chairman without infighting, as pro-Western, in an attempt to bring them into government,” said Guram Macharashvili.
