MP Gotsiridze: Salome Zourabichvili, as opposition presidential candidate, should initiate her campaign
Roman Gotsiridze, an opposition MP, expressed optimism about the ongoing efforts to strengthen the opposition in Georgia. He noted the positive development of forming four political blocs and suggested that this approach is preferable to a more fragmented opposition. However, he believes that a further consolidation into two large coalitions would be even more advantageous.
“There is still time for each bloc to bolster itself by including parties, political groups, and politically active individuals who are currently outside the main coalition. No party with even half a percent of support should be excluded, as every percentage point can be decisive. Salome Zourabichvili, as a leading opposition presidential candidate, should initiate her campaign soon. Her participation, along with the program outlined in her charter, could inject new energy into the opposition and significantly enhance its impact,” Gotsiridze emphasized.
