MP Gorduladze: Foreign Minister’s and our team’s global presence is ‘cold shower’ for collective UNM
“The appearance of the Foreign Minister, or indeed any member of our team, on the international stage is a cold shower for the collective United National Movement,” declared MP Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.
According to Gorduladze, their political narrative, which suggests that Georgia has been sidelined from all international political relations, crumbles completely in the face of these developments.
“We seize every opportunity to ensure that Georgia’s voice is heard, that the voice of truth is heard, regardless of the assessments and subsequent attacks from various bureaucrats united under the influence of collective global forces.
As for relations with the United States of America, we have, of course, been ready, remain ready, and will continue to be ready to transition these relations to a qualitatively different stage. This includes defining a concrete plan to ensure our strategic partnership is actively realised, rather than remaining a mere paper agreement. We will do everything within our power to achieve this; the rest lies in the hands of the current administration of the United States,” Gorduladze stated.
For context, the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, participated in the ministerial meeting on “The Resurgence of Political Terrorism” in Washington, D.C., at the invitation of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, where she addressed the gathered delegates.
