MP Giorgi Gabunia: UNM is hostile force directed straight from abroad; Constitutional Court to ensure they have no place in Georgian politics
“The United National Movement has reduced itself to a party of 500 people. This party has done nothing except display hostility toward Georgia and harm the country. It is a hostile force directed and funded straight from abroad,” declared MP Giorgi Gabunia, Chairman of the Parliamentary Culture Committee.
He added that “even their handlers no longer care about this party.”
“As for Mikheil Saakashvili, this man is simply attempting to keep himself in the public eye. The public can see for themselves what kind of statements he makes. We expect the Constitutional Court to commence proceedings swiftly and deliver a timely ruling to dissolve the United National Movement, bringing an end to its years of hostile conduct against the state. Their only future is to step away from political life altogether, as there is no place for them in Georgian politics. The Constitutional Court will ensure this,” Gabunia stated.
