MP Chakvetadze: We fulfil will of Georgian people and seek equal partnership, not subjugation

“We are only fulfilling the will of the Georgian people and are prepared for an equal partnership, not vassalage,” stated Giorgi Chakvetadze, a member of the parliamentary majority. His remarks echo the comments of the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, who noted that “all options are on the table, including suspending the visa-free regime, which could compel the Georgian government to reconsider its stance.”

Chakvetadze emphasised that the Georgian government is solely acting following the will of the Georgian people and is not subject to any form of blackmail.

“We are only fulfilling the will of the Georgian people. We are prepared for an equal partnership, not for anyone’s vassalage. Georgia is not subject to blackmail. This is how a thousand-year-old nation and state have reached this point. Glory to our homeland!” Giorgi Chakvetadze wrote on social media.
