MP Archil Gorduladze: Georgia does not need billions or trillions if price is lost lives, ruined nation, and destroyed future
“Georgia does not need billions or trillions if the price to pay is lost lives, a ruined nation, a destroyed future, and our country being engulfed in flames,” MP Archil Gorduladze, a member of the parliamentary majority, told the GPB First Channel.
Gorduladze was asked to comment on a statement by Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the Opposition Alliance, who remarked: “When Ukraine wins the war soon, trillions will be spent on its reconstruction, but Georgia won’t be allowed anywhere near those trillions; the whole of Europe will be busy with construction and making money.”
“Nika Gvaramia, as a run-of-the-mill agent of foreign forces, cannot transcend his own nature and cannot escape what he is, because he has always been, is, and will in the future remain focused on foreign interests. What does it matter which country it is? The priority must be Georgia’s interests. Anaklia Port is in Georgia’s interests and represents a strategic asset. Consequently, its construction must be our primary focus, generating profit and strengthening our economy. The state committed to building the port itself.
As for Gvaramia’s trillions, Georgia does not need billions or trillions if the price to pay is lost lives, a ruined nation, a destroyed future, and our country being engulfed in flames. No matter how strong the Global War Party desires to use Georgia for a proxy war, and even if they use Gvaramia as a mouthpiece to tell us they will pay trillions for it, not a single human life or person’s health is worth any amount of trillions.
Nika Gvaramia’s intellectual capacities are certainly not low, and he fully comprehends what he is saying. This is a direct continuation of the campaign running since 2022, when Gigi Ugulava and his associates openly admitted that they wanted war and were ready to fight if necessary. Apparently, we were supposed to take a tank ride through the temporarily occupied territories. This is a continuation of this campaign, which aims to accustom the public to the idea that war brings trillions rather than lost lives and a devastated country. Gvaramia is trying to sell this to the public. As if Gvaramia is worth listening to in the first place, let alone his disinformation,” Archil Gorduladze stated.
