Movement restrictions stand except for New Year and Christmas

The restrictions on movement across the country on foot and motor vehicles from 9 pm till 5 am remain effective. Acting Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili said a briefing at the government administration on Tuesday.

“The exception would be New Year Eve and Christmas Eve. Despite these exceptions, we still call on the population to celebrate the holidays in a small family circle,” Tskitishvili said.

The Inter-Agency Coordination Council of Georgia decided not to ease the restrictions from December 24 to January 2 in full.
