Motorbikes, mopeds to move in bus lanes from September 1

Tbilisi municipality government drafted and will submit to the City Assembly (Sakrebulo) for approval the order that will permit motorbikes and mopeds to drive in bus lanes presumably from September 1, said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze at the municipal government meeting.

According to the initiative, the bus lane with a horizontal traffic sign will be open to motorbikes and mopeds at all times.

However, it will be prohibited to pick up or drop off passengers in the bus lane unless permitted by the municipality’s representative body.
