Georgian government plans to invest two billion 500 million GEL to encourage local production, said Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili while presenting Georgian Dream’s Oni mayoral candidate Sergo Khidesheli on Sunday.
More than 1,000 enterprises will be financed and at least 100,000 new jobs will be created over the next three years, Garibashvili noted. These programs and projects will be implemented in all the regions of Georgia, he added.
“Under the “Plant the Future” project, 14,000 hectares of new orchards were planted, also, perennial crops, 6,500 hectares of new vineyards in Kakheti, and 600 hectares of new vineyards in Racha were planted. Of course, this is enough, we need to do more, we need to help our people to overcome poverty and create more jobs,” said the Prime Minister.
