Moped registration to become mandatory from March 2022
The moped registration in Georgia will become mandatory from March 1, 2022. The supreme legislative body reviewed a relevant bill, the parliamentary press service reported on Monday.
“Moped drivers will have to take a category AM driving license. The registration will be voluntary until March 1, 2022,” Deputy Interior Minister Aleksandre Darakhvelidze said.
On top of that, the bill includes a two-stage practical driving test for mopeds, he noted.
“The changes aim to fulfil the obligations under Asociation Agreement, leading to swapping Georgian driving licenses into European ones,” Darakhvelidze added.
