“The report on Shatili road accident was received at 17:13, the crews of the Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Assistance Center of the Ministry of Health headed to the spot of the accident at 17:15, said the Ministry of Health in a response to the reports regarding ambulance delays.
“Unfortunately, when the ambulance arrived, the crews met with patients with life-threatening injuries. Ambulace doctors immediately started transporting the three seriously injured persons to the relevant clinic in Tbilisi,” the statement reads.
17 people died and three injured in a road accident on Shatili road, Dusheti municipality on August 23. Minibus fell over a rocky slope, from the height of approximately 80 meters.
