Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture meets U.S. Charge d’Affaires, USDA attaché
Davit Songhulashvili, Georgian Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, met Alan Purcell, Charge d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Georgia and Rishan Chaudhry, USDA Foreign Agricultural Service attaché.
Future cooperation prospects were reviewed during the meeting. The meeting discussed activities planned within the framework of the forestry reform, as well as issues of national park management and development.
The sides pledged readiness to cooperate over the issues linked to the development of the Georgia-U.S. trade.
The discussion touched upon the significance of Georgia as a regional transit hub. In this context, the meeting focused on issues of food safety, animal health and strengthening laboratory capabilities.
Davit Songhulashvili thanked Alan Purcell for support within Georgia-U.S. cooperation.
