Minister of Economy: Singapore Changi Airport interested in Vaziani International Airport project
“The operator of the Singapore Changi Airport expressed interest in the Vaziani International Airport project,” said Mariam Kvrivishvili, Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
Kvrivishvili noted that the management team is likely to participate in the tender, which the Georgian government will announce to select a partner company.
“We had a meeting with the operator team of the Singapore Changi Airport, which is globally renowned as one of the best in terms of service quality and operations, and we are pleased that the project for our new airport, Vaziani International Airport, generated interest among the Changi Airport management team. They informally confirmed their keen interest in participating in the tender, which the Georgian government will announce to select a partner company.
According to the Minister, the meeting participants emphasized that Georgia is an interesting country for investments and the growth observed in various sectors of Georgia’s economy is impressive.
Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili is accompanying Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on his visit to Singapore.
