Minister of Economy meets U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary

Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Sonata Coulter.

Prospects for Georgia-U.S. cooperation were reviewed during the meeting, focusing on the reset of relations and the significance of the U.S. support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Minister familiarized Deputy Assistant Secretary with Georgia’s economic progress and investment opportunities in strategic spheres such as energy, transport and logistics. She stressed strengthening regional connectivity and Georgia’s role as a key player in the Middle Corridor.

Deputy Ministers of Economy Tamar Ioseliani and Gennadi Arveladze attended the meeting.
