Minister of Economy meets CP Group Chair

Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) Chairman, Chris Soopakij Chearavanont.

Future cooperation across various sectors was reviewed during the meeting, emphasizing trends in the Georgian economy.

The Georgian side focused on the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project, which the Georgian government is developing based on the landlord model, railway modernization and the new Tbiisi International Airport.

The meeting touched on the potential of Georgia’s energy sector, as well as ongoing and planned projects within the sector. Emphasis was also placed on the progress of the Black Sea submarine cable and the Green Energy Corridor project.

Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) is a massive multinational conglomerate based in Bangkok, Thailand, with an annual revenue exceeding US$110 billion. It operates across 23 countries with over 450,000 employees worldwide.

Deputy Economy Minister Irakli Nadreishvili, Investments Agency Director Mikheil Khidureli and General Director of the Economic Development Corporation of Georgia Irakli Gabriadze​ attended the meeting.
