Minister of Economy: Georgia ready for close cooperation with China, other countries participating in Middle Corridor initiative, to translate strategic decisions into tangible results along entire route

“China is the primary driving force behind the development of the Middle Corridor, as clearly evidenced by its strong support for the Belt and Road initiative and the China-Europe Railway Express,” said Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.

During the high-level meeting on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route in China, Mariam Kvrivishvili stated that China plays a significant role in the development of regional trade, strengthens partnerships in Central Asia and the South Caucasus, supporting regional transport ties and connectivity.

“Georgia pledges full readiness to fulfil the taken commitments and is actively involved in their implementation process. We are ready for close cooperation with China and other countries participating in the Middle Corridor initiative, to translate our strategic decisions into tangible results along the entire route,” she said.
