Georgian Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze met the Mayor of Athens Haris Doukas during her working visit to Greece.
At the meeting, the parties reviewed the centuries-old ties between the two countries and emphasized the importance of deepening relations in the field of culture, especially in literature and theater.
The Minister and Mayor of Athens reconfirmed readiness to implement joint projects and set prospects for how to intensify cooperation for the development of the museums network.
“I extend my gratitude to the Mayor of Athens for cordial hospitality. Greece has a special attitude towards Georgian culture. We talked about future cooperation in the field of culture, and I think we will soon implement many interesting projects,” said Tinatin Rukhadze.
Head of International Relations Department at the Culture Ministry, Zurab Bakuradze, Georgian Ambassador to Greece, Levan Beridze and Director of Athens Municipality’s Organization for Culture, Sports and Youth (OPANDA), Roxani Bei, attended the meeting.
