Mikheil Saakashvili: All patriots must unite and sweep those destroying Georgia
“The Kotsis (supporters of the Georgian Dream) regime is clearly preparing a very major betrayal. By invoking the Treaty of Georgievsk, they are preparing to abolish the Georgian state that has been built with so much hardship,” former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili wrote on social media.
Saakashvili said that, regardless of political affiliation, a nationwide movement for survival should be created.
“Against the backdrop of Ukraine carrying out a highly successful strike on the military port of Novosibirsk, with four vessels seriously damaged — I hope it does the same against the Ochamchire and Gudauta bases — and against the backdrop of Ivanishvili supplying gasoline to Russia through Abkhazia, the Kotsis regime is clearly preparing a very major betrayal.
“By invoking the Treaty of Georgievsk, which brought an end to Georgian statehood, they are preparing to abolish today’s Georgian state, which was created with so much hardship.
“In this situation, political affiliation and political or personal differences are completely irrelevant. All patriots must stand together. We must create a nationwide wave for survival and sweep these people away. Otherwise, they have already entered the final stage of destroying Georgia. Then some of us, left without a homeland, will be in emigration, others in prison, and we will be trying to settle our differences among ourselves, saying, ‘You should have done this then,’ ‘You said that,’ and engaging in other meaningless disputes,” Saakashvili wrote.
