Mikheil Giorgadze: More than 700 films should be returned from Russian films archive

Mikheil Giorgadze, Minister of Culture and Monuments Protection talked about return of Georgian films heritage during an expanded sitting of 5 parliamentary committees in the parliament. He said that additional funds would be allocated from the state budget in 2018 in that regard.

“Return of Georgian films heritage is a historic process. More than 700 films should be returned from Russian films archive “Gosfilmofond.” Fifteen films are already returned. The process began in 2014 based on the agreement signed between Ministry of Culture and Monuments protection and Gosfilmofond,” Giorgadze stated.
