Migration Department deports 83 foreign nationals from Georgia

Officers from the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), in close coordination with relevant ministry units, have deported 83 foreign nationals from Georgia following a series of targeted operations conducted in recent days.

According to the agency, as a result of the comprehensive measures conducted by the Migration Department, 83 citizens in total, originating from Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Turkiye, Russia, Ethiopia, Egypt, Iraq, India, Burundi, Pakistan, Kenya, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Jordan, Nigeria, Armenia, Uzbekistan, China and other states, were expelled from the country.

In accordance with current legislation, all deported individuals have been issued re-entry bans to the country.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to combat illegal migration in the country with heightened intensity. According to the latest statistical data, more than 3,000 individuals have already been expelled from the country,” the MIA said.
