Michael Gahler says he wishes political climate change and dialogue in Georgia
Michael Gahler, Head of the EP Delegation said, he “would wish that the political climate here would change and the dialogue and of course, way forward in more consensus and less confrontation.”
“Everything that is part of this entire process affects in one or the other way, then election day and result. We can not assess that and that is why we call on the relevant and competent authorities,” Michael Gahler stated at today’s press conference.
International observers have released a statement, saying Georgia’s local elections were competitive and technically well administered, but marred by widespread allegations of electoral violations, vote-buying, and an unlevel playing field, as well as intimidation and pressure.
