MIA urges rally participants to follow police orders, warns of legal action against violations

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has called on the organizers and participants of the rally to comply with lawful police requests.

According to the statement, any violation of the law will prompt an appropriate legal response.

“In order to ensure public safety and maintain order, officers from the relevant police units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been deployed across the capital in connection with the rally scheduled in Tbilisi on October 4.

We urge the organizers and participants to conduct the demonstration in accordance with Georgian law, to follow lawful police instructions, and not to obstruct official duties. Any breach of the law will be met with the corresponding legal measures,” the statement reads.
