MIA released video footage of murder suspect's detention

The Ministry of Internal Affairs released a video footage of the investigative activities and the detention of the person accused in the murder of a girl in Gori town.

Man, accused of murdering 9-year-old girl has been arrested today. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainee is previously convicted.

An investigation is in progress under Article 109 (2) (b) of the Criminal Code of Georgia (murder under aggravating circumstances of a minor or a helpless person knowingly by the offender).

A nine-year-old girl was found dead on the bank of Liakhvi River yesterday.

The family of the deceased girl claims that there are signs of violence on her body.
