MIA probes into Metropolitan Shio's alleged poisoning

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the alleged murder of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, Senaki, and Metropolitan of Chkhorotsku, Reverend Shio Mujiri. The article may be requalified, according to the MIA.

Dean Andria Jagmaidze, head of the public relations department of the Georgian Patriarchate, told journalists that “Metropolitan Shio’s poisoning allegations could be partly grounded based on a greater amount of heavy metals in his blood test results.” He added that Metropolitan’s condition was normal and continues working.

Several Georgian media outlets earlier reported that Metropolitan Shio Mujiri of the Eparchy of Senaki and Chkhorotsku was poisoned.
