Officers from the Police Departments of Adjara, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Imereti, and Kvemo Kartli regions, under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), detained 15 individuals on charges related to drug trafficking.
The detained individuals include both Georgian and foreign nationals. They are charged with purchasing, keeping and selling narcotic drugs.
Law enforcers confiscated Dry Marijuana, Mephedrone, Cocaine, alpha-PVP, thebaine, methadone, and buprenorphine, as well as packaging materials and cash money, upon search of the detained individuals’ houses and other facilities.
The investigation is underway under Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which pertains to up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
