MIA arrests three individuals wanted by interpol

As a result of operational and investigative measures carried out in Tbilisi and Batumi, officers of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department, together with the Adjara Police Department, detained three citizens of the Republic of Turkey wanted under Interpol Red Notices: N.G. (born in 1978), O.Q. (born in 1989), and O.T. (born in 1998), the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

According to the agency, O.Q. was wanted by Turkish law enforcement on charges of trafficking narcotic drugs or stimulants, while N.G. was wanted on charges of unlawful deprivation of liberty by force or deception.

O.T. was wanted on multiple charges, including trafficking or supplying narcotic or stimulant substances, causing bodily harm, defamation, and theft of property.

The ministry notes that the detainees crossed the Georgian border before the international search was announced. Following investigative actions, O.Q. was detained in Tbilisi, while N.G. and O.T. were apprehended in Batumi. Pre-extradition procedures, as provided by law, are currently underway.
