MFA claims to have located all Georgians missing following Turkey's earthquake

Following the devastating earthquake in southern Turkey and northern Syria on February 6, the Georgian Embassy in Turkey is operating in emergency mode, with hotlines available around the clock.

According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the location of hundreds of Georgian nationals who went missing after the earthquake has been confirmed, and they have transported the body of one of three deceased Georgians to the homeland. Furthermore, the search for two more missing citizens continues.

Staying in touch with Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the embassy says free movement in the disaster zone is restricted amid heavy snowfall that impedes rescue efforts.
