“October 1 is a day that has left a significant mark on Georgia’s modern history. Fourteen years ago, the Georgian people made a historic choice and entrusted the governance of the country to Georgian Dream. It is impossible to speak of this day without acknowledging the pivotal role played by Bidzina Ivanishvili,” Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze writes on social media.

According to Kaladze, the political events of October 1, 2012, which were driven by immense responsibility and effort, are inextricably linked to Bidzina Ivanishvili, his decision, and the people who united around him.

“Over these 14 years, we have been through a great deal—there have been difficulties, challenges, victories, and successes, and, of course, mistakes too. Yet, one thing has never changed: the defense of Georgia’s interests and our responsibility toward our people.

For me, these years represent more than just time spent in politics or in government; they represent daily hard work, a commitment to upholding the trust of countless people, and a profound sense of responsibility toward them.

The Georgian people have always been, and will continue to be, our greatest strength.

I thank every individual for their trust, support, and even their constructive criticism. I thank everyone who has stood by our side throughout these years and who continues to fight for a better future for Georgia today.

I congratulate the extended Georgian Dream family on this October 1 anniversary. Thank you, each and every one of you, for your loyalty, dedication, and the work you carry out with such a strong sense of responsibility.

I wish you peace, health, success, and continued, vigorous effort for the well-being of our country and society,” Kakha Kaladze writes.
