Mayor Kaladze: Georgia’s economic growth is result of Georgian Dream’s policies
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said Georgia has seen positive economic trends in recent years, adding that the country’s progress has been made possible by the policies pursued by the ruling team.
Kaladze made the remarks in response to a journalist’s question about Geostat data showing that domestic exports increased by 60.3% in January–September 2026.
“Overall, we are seeing very positive trends in terms of economic development. The country has been developing in recent years, the economy is growing, and local businesses are moving forward. This is very important.
“Do not think this is happening by chance. You can all see what is happening around us — in Europe, the Middle East and the world in general, and how difficult and tense the political situation is.
“The fact that Georgia is developing and making economic progress today has been made possible by the policies pursued by Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia. Despite numerous insults, unfair treatment, threats and slander, we maintain a very firm position: we want to preserve peace, which will, in turn, enable further progress. Ultimately, everything is reflected in the economy.
“Of course, we will continue our economic development so that every citizen of our country can personally feel the benefits of greater prosperity,” Kaladze said.
