Marika Linntam: Estonia supports EU enlargement policy

Estonia supports the EU enlargement policy, said Marika Linntam, Director General at the Department for European Affairs of Estonia, ahead of the informal meeting of European Affairs Ministers in Stockholm, Sweden.

“For Estonia, the big priority in the European Union continues to be keeping up a strong response to Russia’s war against Ukraine and supporting Ukraine. And against this backdrop, the topic of enlargement is becoming more important.

We support a strong enlargement policy, and we very much hope that we can proceed on this path. This is something that both the candidate countries and the European Union have a lot to win from,” she said.
