Mariam Shengelia's impressive performance in Eurovision 2025 semi-final

Georgia’s representative Mariam Shengelia has taken to the stage in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

Performing tenth in the running order, Shengelia delivered her competition entry “Freedom” to the audience in Basel, Switzerland.

Tonight’s show will determine which countries’ representatives will advance to Saturday’s grand final.

According to the competition rules, qualification from the semi-finals is decided entirely by public vote, with no jury involvement in this stage of the contest.

The Eurovision 2025 final will feature 26 countries in total – ten qualifiers from Tuesday’s first semi-final, ten from tonight’s show, plus the automatic finalists comprising the “Big Five” nations (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) and this year’s host country Switzerland.

The grand final of Eurovision 2025 will be broadcast on GPB First Channel this Saturday, 17 May.
